Maureen began her broadcasting career in Syracuse in 1982, and is now principal anchor of the 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 news. Maureen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Salve Regina University and a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University. Her reporting both at home and overseas has won several Syracuse Press Club and New York State Broadcaster's awards, and she has co-anchored nearly every award-winning broadcast of CBS 5 News. Maureen gives her time to civic and charitable causes. She has been named a "mover and shaker" by the Syracuse Newspapers, Syracuse's best news anchor by the Syracuse New Times, and "communicator of the year" by the Central New York chapter of Women in Communications. Maureen's hobbies include travel, gardening and sewing. She resides in Syracuse with her four children.
