About
L'ADOUR, Syracuse
On July 30, 2001, Yann and Alexia, both owners and chef, brought authentic, elegant, and moderately priced French cuisine to Syracuse with the opening of L'Adour Restaurant Français. Located in the newly remodeled and renovated Courier Building (across from City Hall), it features indoor and outdoor tables, a French wait staff, and an international kitchen crew. The restaurant's pedigree couldn't be better. Yann Guigné spent many years working his way up the French culinary hierarchy before becoming the Chef Saucier at Fauchon, a fashionable Paris restaurant. He then spent several years in Prague working as the Head Chef to the French ambassador. While planning L'Adour restaurant, Yann spent some time at Wheatleigh resort (leading small hotel of the world), in Lenox Massachusetts.Alexia is a native of Syracuse who went to Paris to train at Ferrandi and later apprenticed at Fauchon. Then Alexia worked at the Circle Line restaurant in Prague.
